NEW INFO

There is an important update regarding the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) and the new filing requirements for businesses. Under the CTA, businesses are required to submit Beneficial Ownership Information to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). The deadline for filing this information was originally set for January 1, 2025, but a recent ruling in Texas has temporarily delayed the enforcement of this filing requirement. Although, this could change at any point in time. If this act goes into place and you DO NOT file, you could receive large fines and criminal penalties.

At Heart of the Lakes, we cannot provide legal advice, but we can assist with filing your BOI. If you would like us to handle the filing, please email us your request along with a photo of the front of your driver’s license. If you prefer not to file this information, please email us to let us know.

Please note that if there are any changes to your business, such as an update to your address, phone number, or ownership, these changes must be reported within 30 days to avoid potential fines in the future.
